Part of our Christmas tradition is setting up the nativity scene which in locale called Belen, or sometimes Belen-belen (if it is small). I have been fascinated with nativity sets. Maybe, I inherited this interest to my uncle papa Ghandz. Since I was a child, I'm dreaming to have a big set, a life-size one. When the season is in, I am the one setting our belen-belen at home.
This was our last year's nativity scene. A tropical-inspired design. I used plywood scraps, decorative plastic artificial grass, and pebbles for this.
This year, a manger scene with brick-wall backdrop I painted. The roofing was made out of dried lemon grass.
a Merry Christmas!
